Our Approach
01
Materials Matching & Quality Control
We conducted detailed assessments of the existing materials used in the previous landscaping phase to source and install concrete, natural stone, resin bound gravel, and coloured concrete that matched precisely, ensuring a cohesive campus aesthetic. All concrete footpaths and bespoke concrete features incorporated Chromofibre reinforcement to enhance durability and crack resistance.
02
Access & Logistics Planning
Due to restricted access in the courtyard area, we developed a tailored logistics plan to efficiently deliver and handle materials, minimise site storage needs, and maintain safe, clear working zones.
03
Noise Management
To comply with strict noise regulations, we scheduled the noisiest activities during designated times, employed low-noise equipment where possible, and maintained close communication with university management to reduce disruption. Importantly, the university remained fully open throughout the works, with all measures carefully planned to ensure a safe and quiet environment for students and staff.
04
Concrete & Natural Stone Paving
High-quality concrete and natural stone paving were laid with precision, blending seamlessly with the existing campus hard landscaping. In-situ coloured concrete footpaths included Chromofibre reinforcement for superior strength and longevity.
05
Kerb Installation
Granite kerbs were installed to define pathways, protect landscaped areas, and provide structural support for surfacing materials.
06
Resin Bound Gravel & Finished In-Situ Coloured Concrete
Resin bound gravel was applied to create attractive, permeable surfaces that complemented the hard landscaping and improved drainage. Finished in-situ coloured concrete footpaths, reinforced with Chromofibre, were poured and finished on-site in colours matching the university’s existing palette.
07
Bespoke Concrete Features & Street Furniture
Custom concrete elements and bespoke hardwood timber and steel benches were installed to enhance usability and aesthetics.
