Our Approach

01

Detailed Planning & Design Coordination
Collaborating with Islington Council and playground designers, we developed a phased construction plan that respected park opening hours and community access. The design incorporated age-appropriate equipment for various play levels, ensuring inclusivity.

02

Site Preparation & Groundworks
Our team cleared the designated area, managed excavation and levelling works, and installed necessary drainage to ensure a stable foundation for the surfacing and equipment.

03

Play Equipment Installation
We installed a range of high-quality, durable play structures, including swings, climbing frames, and sensory panels. All equipment complied with BS EN 1176 standards for playground safety.

04

Wet Pour Safety Surfacing
Using a specialist two-layer wet pour system, we applied a flexible, slip-resistant, and impact-absorbing safety surface beneath and around all play areas. This surfacing meets EN 1177 impact attenuation requirements and offers excellent durability and
weather resistance.

05

Safety Fencing Installation
To secure the play area and protect children, we installed robust safety fencing around the perimeter. The fencing is designed to be both visually appealing and compliant with safety regulations, providing a secure boundary while allowing clear sightlines for supervision.

06

Quality Control & Handover
Throughout the project, rigorous quality checks were undertaken. Final inspections were completed in partnership with council representatives and independent safety inspectors before public opening.

Outcomes

  • The playground was successfully completed within the planned 12-week schedule and budget.

  • Enhanced safety and accessibility encourage play and physical activity among children of all abilities.

  • Positive community feedback highlighted the playground as a valued local amenity.

  • Ongoing maintenance plans were established with the council to ensure longevity and safety compliance.
